Luca Del Pio (Milan, 1981) after obtaining his artistic maturity, in 2000 he began his training career at the Faculty of Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, he spent a short period in researching and experimenting with new forms through various architectural competitions, winning in 2005 the International Giambattista Piranesi Award for Architecture and Archeology in Rome.
In 2008 he obtained a five-year degree and his thesis was awarded and published in the almanac of the Milan Polytechnic as one of the best of the 2007/08 academic year.
After several collaborations in design studies both in Italy and in Switzerland, in 2013 he decided to give life to AD + P architetti, his architecture firm in the heart of Lugano.
It aims very much at innovation, always showing interest in every aspect inherent to the design and developing a particular attention to detail, form and color. He experiments through the volumes taking care of the relationship that binds the architectural structure in its physiognomy and in the material that represents it. His projects are influenced by a remarkable minimalist influence that led him to reevaluate and abstract clean and essential profiles embellished by the play of materials and light, source of life and beauty.
In 2015 he had the opportunity to express himself also in the vast field of design, starting a collaboration with the Crystalexe® brand. In April of the same year he took part in the Fuorisalone with a suggestive installation exhibited in Corso Garibaldi during the whole Design Week: CENTURY X, the work that tells his vision: the power of architecture concretized in shapes and shades of styles and colors.
